Assistant Garment Tech

Main Duties

Department: Production

Contract type: Fixed term contract (end of March 2026), part time – 24 hours

Location: Based in The Fold’s Bermondsey Head Office, Tuesday- Thursday

Role Purpose: This role is key to the smooth day to day running of the product team. Based in the Garment Technology team, this role supports technical, buying, and production departments to help achieve product quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.  Reporting to the Garment Technologist, the Assistant Garment Technologist works close in collaboration with Technical, Buying and Production team.

Areas of responsibility:

  1. Technical & Fitting
  • Assist in the day-to-day tasks for the technical, buying and production team
  • Prepare the weekly fit list ensuring all samples are steamed and reference samples are available
  • Support team with tech packs and measuring samples for fittings
  • Monitor supplies for fittings and order when needed
  1. Quality Control
  • Support team managing QC samples, measure, check quality and send approval to the suppliers
  • Manage the QC returns to the warehouse monthly
  1. General Admin & Collaboration
  • Upload all garment and care data to NetSuite for Ecommerce use monthly
  • Update all attributes onto the system (Netsuite), maintaining accuracy
  • Attend copy briefings monthly
  • Generate barcodes for the production team, sending to suppliers following the critical path
  • Manage outbound and inbound post ensuring customs paperwork is correct and all samples are logged according to SOPs
  • Support the buying and design assistants in preparing the photoshoot rails ensuring all samples are available and presentable
  • Organize and maintain the archive rails ensuring borrowed samples are returned
  • Liaising across the business for sample requests, keeping track of any borrowed samples

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ideally have previous entry-level industry experience in garment tech or production department but open to students studying within this field
  • Interest in fashion
  • Organized with a can do attitude
  • Proactive and willing to learn
