Main Duties
- Capture high-quality photo and video content at all CDR events and workshops.
- Edit and repurpose footage from live talks and events for TikTok and Instagram Reels, combining sound technical editing ability with editorial judgment to identify the most impactful moments and deliver them in a concise, platform-optimised format.
- Edit and produce a wide range of digital assets (short-form video, reels, graphics, photo edits) for use across platforms.
- Work closely with the Communications Manager on ad hoc content needs, supporting a wide range of tasks and remaining flexible to shifting priorities.
- Adapt content for different channels and audiences, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and consistency.
- Manage and organise assets, maintaining CDR’s digital content archive.
- Bring creative input to content ideas, campaigns, and storytelling approaches.
Skills and Experience Required
- Self-starter with reliability and initiative. Comfortable taking tasks and running with them while maintaining a high standard of delivery*
- Experienced in editing and optimising live talk or event footage for short-form, vertical video platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
- Strong experience in photo and video capture, including on-site event coverage.
- Skilled with editing and design tools, including Canva, CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite
- A creative eye for storytelling through visuals and design.
- Ability to manage deadlines, adapt quickly, and work independently within a small team.
- Interest in electronic music, underground culture, and community-focused work.
- Experience producing content for charities, arts, or music organisations.
- Familiarity with YouTube, podcast, or live-stream formats.
- Skills in motion graphics or animation.
- Knowledge of CDR’s work and the wider UK music landscape.
