Main Duties

Off-Centre Productions is seeking a talented Video Producer/Editor to create compelling visual content for two sister organisations working in social change and documentary filmmaking in very different ways.

One is Paint the Change (www.paintthechange.me), which produces public murals and conducts workshops in London and across Europe.

The other is IranWire (iranwire.com/en), a popular media outlet with a focus on Iranian issues, human rights, and Holocaust education. On YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHEWoZ9bO3I3OvBUiLdYyOLTRT19bCij9

Each organisation has its own production and video style. We expect the candidates to review the videos before applying for the position.

This is a full-time contractual position with pro rata compensation. The role involves shooting and editing short documentaries, conducting workshops on basic filmmaking techniques, and producing impactful social media videos. You will split your time between Paint the Change and IranWire projects. This is a hybrid job, but you need to attend meetings regularly in our office in London. You also need to have a valid passport, as you may need to travel for filming.

We seek storytellers who create powerful social change through accessible documentaries, not art film creators. Your portfolio should demonstrate your ability to tell impactful social and political stories that connect with audiences emotionally and intellectually.

Our workshops follow this practical approach to filmmaking.

Please do not apply if you are not:

  • Based in London
  • Do not write or speak English proficiently
  • Are not interested in social and political documentaries
