Main Duties

About us:

About us:

earth.works is a new wellness venture combining yoga, meditation, and ceramics to create inclusive, accessible spaces for creativity and self-care for BPOC communities. Our mission is to bring people together through mindful practices.

The role:

We’re looking for a creative, motivated student who would like to grow their portfolio through a paid opportunity to help bring our website to life. The visual identity (logo, colour palette, fonts) is currently in development, so your input and guidance on which website platform (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, etc.) will best suit the brand and future growth will be valued. You’ll design and build a visually engaging, easy to navigate website that reflects our creative and wellness led ethos.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with the founder to shape the structure of the site.
  • Build the website using provided brand assets and copy/images.
  • Set up navigation, page layouts, and mobile-responsive design.
  • Integrate core features such as an e-commerce shop and scheduling system (these will remain unpublished until launch).
  • Optimise site for basic SEO and accessibility.
  • Ensure the site is easy for the owner to update and maintain.
  • Provide a brief handover guide and training on site management.

Skills and Experience Required

Who we’re looking for:

  • Students studying Communication & Graphic Design (or similar, including Web Design, Digital Design, or other creative fields with examples of web work) are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of and comfortable using website-building platforms (Squarespace, Wix, Shopify etc.)
  • Detail oriented, reliable, and proactive in problem solving
  • Bonus: interested in wellness, creativity, and gaining portfolio ready experience
  • We particularly encourage students from Black or global majority backgrounds to apply

Details:

  • Start date: Flexible (Autumn 2025 ideal)
  • Commitment: Estimated 15-20 hours total, flexible scheduling around your studies
  • Pay: £15 per hour (approx. £225-300) for the completed project + potential for future paid work
  • Location: Remote, with option to meet in person in London
